Airport Parking Summary
- The car parks with Blue Badge parking bays are short stay, premium and long stay.
- The car parks with step-free level access to the terminal are short stay, premium and long stay.
- The car parks with pedestrian walkways/crossings and dropped kerbs with tactile paving are Short Stay, Premium Car Park and Long Stay.
- The main passenger drop off and pick up point is located next to the short stay car park and there is an additional 10 minute drop off and pick up point next to the long stay car park.
Pick up and Drop Off Points
- There are clearly marked pick up and drop off points available.
- The drop-off point is located to the left of the terminal building.
- The most accessible route from the drop-off point to the terminal has step-free level access, dropped kerbs with tactile paving and bollards.
- The Blue Badge parking bays in the short stay car park can be used for pick up and drop off.
- There is no set time limit for drop off, there is an initial cost of £4 for 10 minutes after that the cost increases.
Parking (Short Stay)
- The car park is located off Sydenham Bypass.
- This is an open air car park with a tarmac surface.
- The car park has a touchscreen, an intercom and an automatic number plate recognition barrier control system.
- Controls for the barrier may be difficult to reach.
- There are more than 10 designated Blue Badge parking bays available.
- Blue Badge parking is clearly marked.
- The Blue Badge parking bay dimensions are 250cm x 420cm.
- There is a marked zone on both sides and to the rear.
- There are not parent and child parking bays available.

Paying and Booking

- Parking is not free for Blue Badge holders.
- Clearly presented payment terms signs are provided.
- Payment signs are located at the entrance to the car park and at the payment machines in the car park.
- Payment machines are located in the waiting area, Blue Badge parking can be validated at the car park assistance desk.
- There is a payment machine at a convenient height for wheelchair users.
- There is a level turning space (minimum 185cm x 210cm) in front of the payment machine(s).

- If parking has not been pre booked payment is due when exiting the car park.
- There is a free drop off and pick for Blue Badge holders, using the Blue badge bays up to 2 hours free.

Getting to the Terminal

- The most accessible route from the Blue Badge parking to the terminal building has step-free level access, dropped kerbs with tactile paving and bollards.
- There are pedestrian crossings between the car park and the terminal.

Exiting the Car Park by Car
View
- The car park has a touchscreen, an intercom and an automatic number plate recognition barrier control system at the exit.
- Controls for the barrier may be difficult to reach.
Counter (Car Park Assistance)
- The counter is located next to the waiting area.
- There is step-free level access to the counter.
- The height of the counter is 70cm.
- The counter has windows which may affect the ability of someone to lip read.
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- There is a help point located next to the counter, the height of the help point is 90cm.
Seating Area (Waiting Area)
- The seating area is located next to the express drop off and pick up.
- There is step-free level access in this area.
- There is designated seating available for people who require assistance.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest in the seating area.
- There are bench seats available in this area.
- There is no (or very little) background noise.

By Road
View
- The airport is conveniently located on the A2 Sydenham Bypass road between Belfast and Holywood, just 5 minutes outside of Belfast’s bustling city centre.
- Those approaching Belfast from the South on the M1 or from the North on the M2 should follow the signs to Belfast City Airport, leading to the A2 Sydenham Bypass via the M3.

By Bus
View
- There is a bus stop within 150 metres of the venue.
- Belfast City Airport has a designated Airport Express 600 Service with buses every 30 minutes at peak times from the front of the terminal building to the centre of town. The journey only takes around 10 minutes.

By Train
View
- The nearest Railway Station is Sydenham.
- Translink operates NIRailways train services across Northern Ireland.
- When travelling to the airport by train, you'll want to disembark at Sydenham Station.
- When travelling from the airport, board the train at Sydenham Station and travel to either Belfast Central Station or Great Victoria Street Station, which are both just a convenient 5-10 minute journey away.
- From either of these train stations, you can then make onwards connections to various popular locations across Northern Ireland and even down into the South of Ireland. Train services depart from Sydenham Station regularly during peak times.
- Please note - there is a footbridge which passengers must cross either going to or coming from Sydenham Station. Therefore, the airport advise passengers against this transport option if they have reduced mobility or experience difficulty when using steps.
- For your convenience, the airport operates a FREE shuttle bus service between the airport terminal and Sydenham Station. Should you require the shuttle service from the airport to the rail halt, please go to the Airport Parking Services desk on arrival with your request. A member of our team will signal the shuttle bus to collect you from the front of terminal.
- Should you require the service from the train station to the airport terminal, there is a telephone located on the airport side at the railway halt. Use this freephone service to dial: 07701 281 835 and request the shuttle service.

Getting Help and Assistance

- There is a member of staff available for help and assistance.
- There is not a member of staff trained in British Sign Language.
- There is not an assistance dog toilet or toileting area at the venue/nearby.
- Water bowls for assistance dogs are available.
- There are mobility aids available.
- The mobility aids available include wheelchairs.
- To obtain mobility aids please contact Assisted Travel Team.
- There is a portable hearing loop available, which can be used by passengers when using the airport.
If you wish to use the portable hearing loop please either contact the airport in advance or go to the assisted travel counter in the main terminal building. - There is a changing places facility located next to the Check-in Desks.
