Access Guide
Introduction
- The halls contain a mixture of standard rooms and studio rooms. Two of the studio rooms have been adapted for use as accessible accommodation.
- The building contains a large common room, kitchen, meeting room and laundry room on the ground floor.
Getting Here

By Road
View
- To reach Lansdowne Campus from the North or the East, leave the A338 at the junction marked Travel Interchange onto St Paul's Road, then take St Swithuns Road.
At the roundabout at the end of St Swithuns Road take the right-hand exit which will bring you onto Christchurch Road (B3066) where the buildings that comprise the campus are located.
From the West follow the directions to Talbot Campus but proceed past the University on the A3049 (this becomes Talbot Avenue).
Next take the Wimborne Road (A347), then the Lansdowne Road (B3064) to continue onto Christchurch Road (B3066).
There is no student parking at the Lansdowne Campus, although the area is well served by public (pay and display) car parks within easy walking distance of all university buildings. - Permit holder parking is provided around the Lansdowne Campus.
- This car park can be accessed from either Christchurch Road or Cotlands Road.
- For sat nav users, the postcode for the building is BH1 3NA.
- The car park is for staff permit holders only between 07:00 – 16:00 weekdays.
- Outside of these hours the car park is open to the public for pay and display.
- There is no visitor parking at this building.
- There are pay and display car parks located nearby.

By Bus

- As part of the local transport network, Morebus operates a student-oriented service (UNIBUS).
- This service provides transport between our two campuses and extends to areas populated by students in Poole, Winton, Charminster, Southbourne, and Boscombe.
- Unibus services U1 and U4 stop at Christchurch Road which is the closest stop to Studland House.

By Train

- The nearest railway station is Bournemouth, served by Cross Country and South Western Railway rail services.
- From the station, cross the road to catch the U1 or U4 bus services from Dorchester House and then alight at Christchurch Road.
- The pedestrian route from the station to Studland House, using the underpass at St Pauls Road (A35), is approximately 850 metres.

Common Room
