Getting Inside
- The approach to the building is step-free via slight slopes.
- Eliot Jacques has five entrances.
- All five entrances provide step-free access to the ground floor.
- The most accessible entrance is the main entrance at the front of the building which has step-free access via uneven surfaces. There is a slight slope to the left of the entrance.
- The main entrance is not signed.
- There is a set of automatic double doors into the entrance lobby area which were locked at the time of survey (February 2026), and which have a steep ramp.
- There is an entrance leading into the building via the kitchen on the ground floor. This entrance has a slight slope bypassing a step leading to a set of manual double doors.
- There are two separate entrance entrances off both the car parks to the east and the west of the building with automatic double doors and steep ramps.
- The main entrance provides step-free level access to the reception foyer and lift lobby on the ground floor.
Getting Around
- There is step-free level access throughout the building on each floor, however there is a short steep ramp to access the lift to move between floors in the building.
- Floor surfaces along some circulation routes are hard and smooth, with some having a shiny finish.
- Other circulation routes are carpeted.
- There are resting areas in some circulation and lobby areas with a mixture of seating.
- Overhead and wall mounted wayfinding signage is provided throughout the building.
