Overview

Getting Inside

  • The approach to the building varies depending on which direction you come from. There is step-free level access and also varying degrees of slopes.
  • The step-free approach to the building is from the west side of campus and also the building's parking area.
    The approach with slopes is from the southeast side of campus.
  • Quad North has four entrances. The most accessible is the entrance on the northwest side of the building by the car park.
  • The accessible entrance is signed accessible entrance.
    The southeast entrance is signed 'Chemical Engineering'.
    The northeast entrance is not signed.
    The southwest entrance is signed 'Brunel Medical School, Psychology, Chemical Engineering'.
  • The accessible entrance provides step-free access with a slight slope to the east wing ground floor corridor leading to the foyer.
  • The southeast entrance has sloped access to the ground floor foyer. The northeast entrance has sloped access to the ground floor foyer. The southwest entrance has stepped access to the first floor lobby.

Getting Around

  • There is step-free level access throughout the building via lifts.
  • Access to teaching room 055 is via steps or a platform lift on the ground floor.
    Access to the Graduate School reception is via five steps or a platform lift on the first floor.
  • Floor surfaces along circulation routes are hard and smooth or carpeted and smooth.
