Access To
- MHL403 is located on the fourth floor of Mill Hill Lane, towards the left side of the building. .
- View information on Mill Hill Lane (opens new tab).
- The most accessible route has step-free level access and doors permanently held open.
- There is written text and numbered signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access into BUSC403 - Lecture Theatre.
- There are double manual doors which open towards you.
- The width of the opening is 164cm.
- The doors have a high visual contrast.
- There is an alternative entrance into the theatre, this entrance has stepped access.
This entrance has double door which open towards you, with a width of 160cm.
There are four medium height steps, with a rail on the right, only.
Teaching
- This is a lecture theatre.
- There is step-free level access to the speaker’s area and front row only.
- The following areas have stepped access: the tiered seating.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a fixed hearing assistance system which is not clearly signed.
- The hearing assistance system was tested, however it was not working at the time of the survey.
- Floor coverings are even with no trip hazards.

- Lighting levels vary due to the use of large glazed walls.
