Access To
- BH-2012 Quiet Room is located on Level 2, in the left rear corner of the Boldon House building.

- The most accessible route has doors permanently held open, step-free level access, manual doors and a lift.
- The Manual door and lift are key card operated.
- There is numbered and written text signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access to enter BH-2012 Quiet Room.
- There is a single manual door which opens away from you.
- The width of the opening is 85cm.
- The door has a high visual contrast.
Teaching
- This is a meeting room.
- There is step-free level access throughout the room.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- The flooring is patterned.
- Floor coverings are even with no trip hazards.
- The walls and floor have a high visual contrast.
- Lighting levels vary due to the use of large glazed walls.
- Lighting levels are adjustable.
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
- Seating available in the room includes: chairs without armrests and chairs with armrests.
- Furniture available in the room includes: coffee tables and desks.
- Some surface heights are suitable for wheelchair users.
- The clear underside space of some surfaces is suitable for wheelchair users.
