Introduction
- Services / facilities within the building include Essex County Council (ECC) recycling centres are licenced by the Environment Agency and are for household waste only. Business, trade and commercial waste is not accepted at any ECC recycling centre. You will need to book a slot to visit this recycling centre, unless you are a Blue Badge holder, pedestrian or cyclist. This recycling centre does not accept DIY waste. Location
- The venue is situated outside the centre of the village.
- This venue is situated in South Woodham Ferrers.
- The venue is not situated on a road which has a steep gradient.
- There is not a bus stop within 150m (164yds) of the venue.
- The nearest mainline station is South Woodham Ferrers.

Vehicle Entrance and Exit
- The Vehicle Entrance is located just off Ferrers Road.
- The Vehicle Exit is located at the rear of the site and rejoins Ferrers Road.
- During opening hours there is no height restriction barrier at the entrance.
- During busier periods, there may be a queue of vehicles into the Recycling Centre.
- Vans, pick-ups and other commercial-type vehicles (including those privately owned) are not allowed to use this site.
Recycling Centre – Unloading
- The site operates a one way traffic system.
- There are unloading bays located either side of the access road.
- There is step free access throughout the site.
- There is a pedestrian walkway located around the edge of the site.
- There are between 1 and 10 steps into the skips.
- The steps are open tread and have visual identification strips.
- A member of staff can provide assistance with unloading into the skips.
Site Office
- There is an office in the centre of the site.
- There are 2 steps at the office entrance that are 14cm and 18cm high respectively.
- The office door opens inwards and is permanently open during site opening times.
- The doorway is 73cm wide.
Toilet with Adaptations
- Accessible toilet facilities are not available.

- A bowl of water cannot be provided for an assistance dog.
