- Annie Lennox Building is a very large building with 9 floors and 1 mezzanine level.
- There is 1 main set of lifts and 2 main staircases within the building.
- The floors are signed in the majority of the building as Ground, First, Mezzanine (The Lantern), Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth floors. This is how they will be referred to throughout this guide for consistency.
- There is internal step-free access between Annie Lennox Building and The Sir Alex Ferguson Library via sloped link bridge on the first and fifth floors.

Getting Inside
- The approach to the building is step-free via slight slopes.
- Annie Lennox Building has seven entrances in total. All external entrances provide step-free access to the ground floor.
- There are automatic, double doors at the main entrance, with manual double doors at all other external entrances.
- There are two internal link entrances with permanently held double doors to the first and fifth floors from the Sir Alex Ferguson Library.
- The entrances are not signed.
- The main entrance provides step-free level access to the foyer, café and first floor/mezzanine lift on the ground floor.
- There is step-free level access at the East side entrance, step-free access via slight slopes at the North entrances and step-free level access at the West side entrance.
- Both internal entrances have step-free access via slight slopes on the Sir Alex Ferguson Library link bridges.
Getting Around
- There is step-free level access throughout the majority of the building on all floors via the lifts.
- On the ground floor there is a slight slope to the left of the café leading to the teaching rooms and toilets. There are further slight slopes on the ground floor leading towards the lifts, and at the rear of the main corridor.
- Access to the mezzanine floor (The Lantern) is via the First Floor/Lantern stairs or an enclosed platform lift.
- Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard and smooth.
- There are resting areas in some circulation and lobby areas with a mixture of seating.
- Wall mounted wayfinding signage is provided throughout the building.
- There are manual doors along circulation routes throughout the building.

- There are 6 toilets with adaptations.
- Toilets with adaptations are located to the left of the café counter, towards the middle of the ground floor, to the rear left of the ground floor, and to the right from the lift on the first, second and eighth floors.
- The transfer space varies between left and right in the toilets with adaptations.
- The male step-free standard toilet facilities are located towards the middle of the ground floor, and to the rear left of the ground floor, to the left from the lift (off the stairwell) on the first, fourth, sixth and seventh floors.
