Access To
- Lecture Theatre 2 is located on the ground floor of the Hugh Nisbet Building, to the left from the West Side (Gait 3) entrance.

- The most accessible route has a slight ramp or slope.
- The ramp has a slight gradient.
- The ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide with a handrail on the left going down.
- The ramp bypasses the steps.
- There are 4 steps with a central handrail.
- The handrail is not easy to grip.
- The handrail covers the flight of stairs throughout its length.
- The handrail does not extend horizontally beyond the first and last step.
- The steps are clearly marked.
- The height of the steps is between 15cm and 18cm .
- The height of the highest step is 15cm.
- The depth of the steps is not between 30cm and 45cm.
- There is written text and numbered signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access into Lecture Theatre 2.
- There are double manual doors which open towards you.
- The width of the opening is 130cm.
- The doors have a low visual contrast.
- There are a second set of double manual doors which open towards you.
- The width of the opening is 130cm.
- The second set of doors have a medium visual contrast.
- There is one set of similar manual double doors to enter the lecture theatre on the lower floor, followed by a slight slope. One of those doors is locked, but can be opened upon request.
Teaching
- This is a lecture theatre.
- The following areas have step-free access via ramps or slopes: the front seating row and speaker's area from the lower floor lecture theatres entrance.
- The following areas have stepped access: the tiered seating rows.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
