Overview

Getting Inside

  • The approach to the building is step-free via a very easy slope.
  • The Chemistry and CTAP building has two entrances. Both entrances provide step-free level access. The main entrance has double automatic doors and the other has a single automatic door.
  • The main entrance is signed as 'Chemistry Building CHE' and the secondary entrance is signed as 'cTAP Building'.
  • The main entrance provides step-free level access to level A.
  • The cATP Building entrance provides step-free level access to level A.

Getting Around

  • There is step-free level access throughout the building.
  • Access to the small basement area is via a platform lift.
  • Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard and smooth.
  • There are resting areas in circulation and lobby areas with a mixture of seating.
  • Wall mounted wayfinding signage is provided throughout the building.
  • There are some manual doors to access some corridors and others that are permanently held open.

Toilet and Changing Facilities

  • Toilet Facilities View
    • There are 4 toilets with adaptations.
    • Toilets with adaptations are located on the main level A corridor, at the end of the left-hand level A corridor, at the end of the left-hand level B corridor and on level C at the top of the main staircase.
    • The transfer space varies between left and right in the toilets with adaptations.
    • The male step-free toilet facilities are located on level A opposite the main accessible entrance.
    • The female step-free toilet facilities are located on level A opposite the main accessible entrance.
    • The shared step-free toilet facilities are located on level A opposite the main accessible entrance and on levels B and C at the top of the main staircase.
