Accommodation Overview

  • About View
    • Dante Road accommodation is located off Dante Road.
    • There are nine accommodation blocks named HR 2, HR 4, DP 2, DP 4, DR 6, DR 8, DR 10, DR 12 and DR14.
      There is also a separate entrance for the reception block off Dante Place.
    • The blocks are small and have four floors each.
      There are not lifts to other floors within the blocks so there is step-free access to the ground floors only.

Getting Inside

  • There is a level approach to the various blocks off Dante Road, Dante Place and Holyoak Road.
  • There are slight slopes leading to the entrances to the blocks.
  • There are ramped entrances to the blocks of the halls of residence; the majority of the blocks have a very small step at the base of the entrance door.
  • The entrances to the blocks are signed as HR 2, HR 4, DP 2, DP 4, DR 6, DR 8, DR 10, DR 12 and DR14.
    There are also signed entrances into both the Holyoak Road Laundrette and the reception entrance located off Dante Place.
  • The entrances lead into the ground floor of each respective block.

Getting Around

  • There is step free level access within the blocks on the ground floor.
  • The circulation routes within the building are mostly carpeted, however some have a hard and smooth shiny finish.
  • There are no resting areas in some circulation and lobby areas.
  • There is limited signage within the blocks.
