Getting Inside

  • The approach to the Keyworth Centre is level.
  • There is one main external entrance at the front of the building this has two alternative sets of doors one is automatic and requires a key card to open the other is a revolving. After entering the building there is a slight ramp with handrails on either side bypassing steps.
  • There are link entrances from K2 into the Keyworth Centre on the ground and first floors. These link entrances have slight slopes and manual doors.
  • There is clear signage next to the revolving doors at the main external entrance. .
  • The main entrance provides ramped access to the ground floor.
  • The link entrances from K2 provide ramped access to the ground and first floors.

Getting Around

  • There is step-free level access throughout the building on all floors.
  • Floor surfaces along some circulation routes are hard and smooth, with some having a shiny finish. Other circulation routes are carpeted. .
  • There are resting areas in some circulation and lobby areas with a mixture of seating available.
  • Overhead and wall mounted wayfinding signage is provided throughout the building along with maps.
  • There are manual doors along circulation routes throughout the building.

Entrance (Main Entrance Accessible Door)

  • This entrance is located at the front of the building to the right of the main entrance revolving doors.
  • The entrance area is not clearly signed.

  • There are double automatic doors at this entrance, however one door is locked.
  • The doors open away from you.

  • The handrails cover the flight of stairs throughout its length.
  • The handrails do not extend horizontally beyond the first and last step.

Reception

  • The reception is located to your right on entrance.
  • The distance from main entrance is 25m.
  • There is step-free level access to reception.

  • The reception has glazed screens.
  • There is not a hearing assistance system.
