Getting Help and Assistance

- British Sign Language can be provided virtually.
- There is a designated assistance dog spending area.
- The sunflower room is located in the Terminal 1 Departures Lounge.
There is an assistance dog spending area located in Terminal 2 next to Departure Gates B.
Passengers are escorted to this area by a member of staff.
Passengers with booked assistance: Passengers who have booked assistance should note that you can only be dropped off near to the Departures area.
If you require help to get to the assistance check-in desk, passenger's helpers are required to park in the short-term parking at arrivals, walk through to arrivals, go up a lift and around the corner to reach the assistance check-in desk, and request further assistance for the passenger.
All parking in the multi-storey is pre-booked only.
Toilet and Changing Facilities
- There is 1 toilet with adaptations.
- The toilet with adaptations is located on Level 2 of the Drop and Go building.
- The toilet with adaptations has a left hand transfer space.
- Step-free male and female toilet facilities are located on Level 2 of the Drop and Go building.
Parking (Car Drop Off Area Level 2)
- The car park is located to the left of the Drop and Go building.
- This is a multi storey car park with a concrete surface.
- The height of the height restriction barrier is 200cm.
- The car park has an intercom barrier control system.
- Controls for the barrier may be difficult to reach.
- There are 8 designated Blue Badge parking bays available.
- Blue Badge parking is clearly marked.
- The Blue Badge parking bay dimensions are 240cm x 480cm.
- There is a marked zone on both sides and to the rear.
- There are low level help points available.
- The low level help points are located in the Drop and Go Building on Level 2.
- Parking is not free for Blue Badge holders.
- Parking is not free for pick up and drop off.
Exit (Car Park to Key Drop Off Level 2)
- The exit area is clearly signed.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the exit.
- The ramp has a slight gradient.
- The ramp is over 150cm wide with a handrail on the left going up.
- The handrail is easy to grip.
- There is a single automatic door at this exit.
- The door is permanently held open.
- The width of the opening is 142cm.
- The door has a low visual contrast.
- There is a second set of double automatic doors.
- The second set of doors open towards you.
- The width of the opening is 153cm.

- There is step-free level access as you exit.
Key Drop Off Area Level 2
- The Key Drop Off area is located ahead as you exit the car park.
- There is step free access throughout this area.
- The surface of the flooring is vinyl.
- The height of the touchscreens is between 110cm and 125cm.
- The key drop off slots are located at the rear of the room.
- The height of the slots is between 85cm and 135cm.
- The drop off slot 26 is for Blue Badge parking.
- There is a help point within PRM seating located to the left after you enter.

Toilet with Adaptations (Level 2 Key Drop Off - Left Hand Transfer)
- This toilet is located on Level 2 of the Drop and Go building for Terminal 1 and 3.
- This toilet is approximately 9m from the lift.
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the door.
- The door to enter opens outwards and has a high visual contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 87cm.
- The door has a lever twist lock.
