- This guide covers Departure Gates C1 to C15.

Getting In and Around
View
- There is step-free access via a very easy slope at the most accessible entrance.
- There is step-free level access throughout, this may include the use of a lift.
- Floors 0, 2 and 3 can be accessed via a standard lift, stairs and escalator.
Getting Help and Assistance

- There is a member of staff available for help and assistance.
- British Sign Language can be provided virtually.
- There is a designated assistance dog spending area.
- The sunflower room is located in the Terminal 1 Departures Lounge.
There is an assistance dog spending area located in Terminal 2 next to Departure Gates B.
Passengers are escorted to this area by a member of staff.
Passengers with booked assistance: Passengers who have booked assistance should note that you can only be dropped off near to the Departures area.
If you require help to get to the assistance check-in desk, passenger's helpers are required to park in the short-term parking at arrivals, walk through to arrivals, go up a lift and around the corner to reach the assistance check-in desk, and request further assistance for the passenger.
All parking in the multi-storey is pre-booked only.

Getting To Departure Gates
- The most accessible route to the Departure Gates has a lift and slight ramps/slopes.
- Some flooring is shiny.
- Assistance vehicles are not available.
- There are not resting/seating areas along the route.
- Wayfinding signage is available along the route.
- Lighting levels are varied.
- For information on how to book assistance please visit the airport website.
Toilet and Changing Facilities
- There are 4 toilets with adaptations.
- Toilets with adaptations are located opposite gate C3, and opposite gate C9.
- The transfer space within the toilets with adaptations varies between left and right.
- Step-free male and female standard toilet facilities are located opposite gate C3, and opposite gate C9.
- Step-free standard toilets which include facilities for ambulant disabled people are located opposite gate C3, and opposite gate C9.
- Parent and baby changing facilities are located opposite gate C3, and opposite gate C9.
Lift
- The lift is located ahead from the Departure Lounge then to the right on Level 3.
- The floors which are accessible by the lift surveyed are 0, 2 and 3.
- The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
- The lift door has a high visual contrast.
- The external lift control buttons have a low visual contrast.
- All of the external lift controls are at the recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm).
- The lift door opening width is 120cm.
- The internal dimensions of the lift are 136cm x 239cm.
- The internal lift control buttons have tactile markings, Braille markings and a low visual contrast.
- All of the internal lift controls are at the recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm).
- Internally the lift has: a mirror to aid reversing, a hearing assistance alarm system, a visual floor indicator, an audible announcer and a list of floor services/facilities.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.
- There are other lifts which are similar in size at the same location.
Escalator
- The escalator is located ahead from the entry to Departure Gates B.
- The floors which are accessible by escalator are 0, 2 and 3.
- The escalator only goes down.
- The escalator steps are unmarked.
- The foot (bottom) and head (top) of the escalator are clearly marked.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.
Stairs
- The floors which are accessible by stairs are 0, 2 and 3.
- There are more than 20 steps, which are clearly marked, with handrails on both sides.
- The handrails are easy to grip.
- The handrails cover the flight of stairs throughout its length.
- The handrails extend horizontally beyond the first and last step.
- Steps are split with a resting area.
- The height of the highest step is 17cm.
- Lighting levels are bright.
Seating Area
- The seating area is located at each departure gate.
- There is step-free level access in this area.
- There is designated seating available for people who require assistance.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest in the seating area.
- There are fixed chairs with armrests available in this area.
- Some flooring is shiny.
- There may be background noise.
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- Lighting levels are varied.
Toilet with Adaptations (Right Hand Transfer)
- This toilet is located on the left opposite gate C9.
