- The sunflower room is located in the Terminal 1 Departures Lounge.
There is an assistance dog spending area located in Terminal 2 next to Departure Gates B.
Passengers are escorted to this area by a member of staff.
Passengers with booked assistance: Passengers who have booked assistance should note that you can only be dropped off near to the Departures area.
If you require help to get to the assistance check-in desk, passenger's helpers are required to park in the short-term parking at arrivals, walk through to arrivals, go up a lift and around the corner to reach the assistance check-in desk, and request further assistance for the passenger.
All parking in the multi-storey is pre-booked only.

Getting To Departure Gates

Toilet and Changing Facilities
- There is 1 toilet with adaptations.
- The toilet with adaptations is located opposite Gate 54.
- The toilet with adaptations has a left hand transfer space.
- Changing Places facilities are located opposite Gate 52.
- Step-free male and female toilet facilities are located opposite Gate 54.
- Parent and baby changing facilities are located opposite Gate 54.
Seating Area (Gates 51 to 56)
- The seating area is located at each gate .
- There is step-free level access in this area.
- There is not designated seating available for people who require assistance.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest in the seating area.
- There are a mixture of fixed chairs with and without armrests, bench seats, high stools, high tables and fixed tables available in this area.
- There are some tables suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction).
- Some flooring is shiny.
- There is no (or very little) background noise.
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.
Departure Gates (Gates 51 to 56)
- The departure gate(s) in this area are 51 to 56.
- There is clear signage to the departure gates.
- The height of the documentation check desk is very high (111cm+).
- There is a lowered section of the documentation check desk available at 51 to 56.
- There is step-free access to 51 to 56.
- The gradient of the airbridge ramps may vary as they are height adjustable.
- There is step free access (via lift) to the aircraft via airbridge from 51 to 56.
- There is an Ambulift available.
Lift (Gate 54)
- The lift is located at Gate 54.
- The floors which are accessible by the lift surveyed are floors 1, 2 and 3.
- The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
- The lift door has a high visual contrast.
- The external lift control buttons have a high visual contrast and tactile markings.
- All of the external lift controls are at the recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm).
- The lift door opening width is 104cm.
- The internal dimensions of the lift are 135cm x 167cm.
- The internal lift control buttons have tactile markings and a medium visual contrast.
- All of the internal lift controls are at the recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm).

Stairs (Gate 54)
- The floors which are accessible by stairs are floors 1, 2 and 3.
- There are 18 steps, which are clearly marked, with handrails on both sides.
- The handrails are easy to grip.
- The handrails cover the flight of stairs throughout its length.
- The handrails do not extend horizontally beyond the first and last step.
- Steps are split with a resting area.
- The height of the highest step is 17cm.

Changing Places (Gate 52)
- This Changing Places facility is located on the left, just beyond Gate 52.
- The facility is additional to standard and accessible toilets, and is not located close to other managed facilities.
- There is a sign at the entrance to the Changing Places facility indicating the location of the nearest toilets and baby changing facilities.
