Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: a manual wheelchair and cycles. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: binoculars, magnifying glass and activity sheets.

- There are charges to borrow the cycles.
- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: a mobility scooter. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

Route to (the Book Shop)
- Exit the car park and take the path which leads into the stable yard.
Go across the yard to the right and the bookshop is under the archway exit. - The route to the area is step-free level.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, gravel, cobbles and paving stones.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Entrance
- The entrance surveyed is located to the left when exiting the stable yard, towards the visitor reception.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance.
- The very steep ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There is a single manual door which is permanently open.
- The width of the opening is 96cm.
- There is a second manual door which is permanently open.
- The width of the opening is 102cm.
Shop
- The majority of aisle widths are under 150cm.
- Flooring in the shop is not smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to uneven paving/tiles.
- There is step-free level access around the shop.
- There is no (or very little) background noise here.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.
- There is step-free level access to the counter.
- The height of the counter is 80cm.
- The counter does not have a hearing assistance system.
- Services/facilities available in the shop include: a member of staff to provide assistance.
- Card payments must be made at the visitor reception.
