Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: a manual wheelchair. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, fidget toys, magnifying glass, activity sheets and communication cards.

- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: a tramper. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

Route to (the Ice-Cream Parlour)
- Go straight ahead from the Visitor Welcome point and follow the path to the left of the garden wall.
At the vegetable garden turn right and continue following the path.
The Ice-Cream Parlour is located on the left. - The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth and gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Eating and Drinking
- This is a kiosk which serves desserts.
- This is a kiosk which serves ice-cream and cold drinks.
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- There is a counter where food and drink can be ordered.
- Menu types include: counter menus.
- Menus are not easy to read (unclear font with poorly contrasting colours).
- The following are available here: drinking straws and takeaway cups.
- There is no (or very little) background noise here.
- There is a clearly signed hearing assistance system.
- The hearing assistance system could not be tested at the time of the survey.
- There is a counter over 85cm high without a tray rail.
- The counter is 95cm high.
