Equipment and Resources to Borrow

Route to (the Walled Garden)
- From the visitor reception exit, turn right and the Walled Garden is ahead.
- The route to the area is step-free level.
- Path surfaces along the route are bonded gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces (Walled Garden)
- This information is for the access point located to the right from the visitor reception exit.
- Access into the area is via a steep ramp/slope.
- The slope is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The width of the gap is 148cm.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: formal gardens.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: bonded gravel.
- Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no step-free level access around the area.
- There are steep ramps/slopes without handrails and more than 3 steps with handrails in the main areas.
- There are slopes throughout the Walled Garden. There are 6 steps at one end of the central path, though these can be overcome by returning to the entrance path.
- There are some bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
