Route to

  • On leaving visitor reception, turn left onto a path which will take you directly to the courtyard.
    On entering the courtyard, the Bakehouse is on the left-hand side.
  • The route to the area is step-free level.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac and gravel.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Entrance

  • The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the building in the courtyard.
  • There is stepped access at the entrance.
  • There is 1 step, which is unmarkedno handrails.
  • The step is not at the recommended height (between 15cm - 18cm).
  • There is a single manual door which is permanently open.
  • The width of the opening is 153cm.

Attraction / Exhibit

  • There is background noise which varies, depending on the time of day.
  • The exhibits do not have hearing assistance systems.
  • There is very limited access to the Bakehouse.
    Visitors can only access immediately inside the entrance door.
  • Flooring in the area is not smooth and even.
  • Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to uneven paving/tiles.
