Route to (the Gatehouse)

    The gatehouse will be on the right at the bottom of the slope.

  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is an accessible shuttle which can take visitors to this area.

Entrance

  • The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the gatehouse.
  • There is step-free access via slope at the entrance.
  • The slight slope is over 150cm wide.
  • There are double manual gates which are permanently open.
  • The width of the opening is 236cm.
  • There is one bollard at this entrance with a height of 78cm.

Visitor Reception

  • The majority of aisle widths are over 150cm.
  • There is room for wheelchair users to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm) throughout the area.
  • The flooring is not smooth and even.
  • Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to gravel.
  • There is step-free level access to the counter.
  • The height of the counter is 106cm.
  • There is not a low level section at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
  • The counter is placed in front of a patterned background, has windows, TVs and glazed screens or mirrors which could adversely affect the ability of someone to lip read.
