Route to
- From the car park, follow the path straight ahead until you reach a crossroad in front of the café. Turn right and follow the waymarked pink route.
- The route to the area is step-free via a very steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are tarmac.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Hikes and Trails
- The walk is approximately 1 mile.
- This guide details the pink route, which is advertised as the most accessible route. This route is a small loop around the parkland, which is continuous steep slopes.
- The walk is not open 24 hours.
- The route includes the following surfaces: grass, compacted gravel, bonded gravel and mud.
- Some of the route contains steep gradients.
- There are no alternative routes to avoid these areas.
- The route is clearly signposted.
- The route has information boards with large maps.
- Seating is available on the route.
- There are no toilet facilities along the route.
- The Parkland is significantly sized, with 3 coloured routes (Pink, Purple and Orange). Starting from Tinkley Gate (GL10 3UH) to access the Pink and Purple routes or Buckholt Car Park (GL10 3UP) to access the Orange route.
The Tramper can be used on the Pink route and much of the Purple and Orange routes from Tinkley Gate. A separate map is available with approved routes for the Tramper when borrowed.
Tramper routes are waymarked grey and follow both the pink route and access the wider landscape.
The Pink route is typically less steep than purple and orange routes, with a more gradual incline however all routes have sections of steepness. At Tinkley Gate there is an orchard to explore which is not on a waymarked route but avoids steep inclines. .
