Access To
- The Disability and Dyslexia Service is located on the third floor of Francis Bancroft Building.

- The most accessible route has a lift, shiny flooring, step-free level access and manual doors.
- There is written text signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access into the Disability and Dyslexia Service.
- There is a single automatic door which opens away from you.
- The push pad for the automatic doors is at a height of 85cm.
- The width of the opening is 80cm.
- The door has a high visual contrast.
- There is a push pad or push button to exit at a height of 75cm.
- Rooms 302A, 302B, 302C and 302D are also located off the main corridor on the third floor and are accessed by a manual door with a width of 80cm. There is a key card reader to open the door with a height of 100cm.
The Office 3.11 door is also accessed off the third floor main corridor and has a manual door with an opening width of 80cm.
Reception
- The reception is located to your right on exiting the lift on the third floor .
- The distance from the Disability and Dyslexia Service entrance is 3m.
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- The height of the reception desk is 109cm.
- There is a lowered section at the desk.
- The height of the lowered section is 76cm.
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- There is no (or very little) background noise in this area.
- Lighting levels were even at the time of the survey.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest in the seating area.
- The chairs are fixed.
