Overview

Getting Inside

  • There is a level approach to the building.
  • The main entrance has a set of manual double doors. There is a slight ramp to access the main entrance which bypasses the steps.
    There is an automatic set of double doors located to the rear of the building which require a key card to open. There is a slight slope on approach to the entrance.
    There is a link to the Geography Building consisting of three sets of manual doors and a slight ramp.
  • The main entrance is signed as the Bancroft Building Home of the School of Business and Management.
    The other entrances are not signed.
  • The main entrance provides step-free access to the reception and atrium area of the ground floor.
  • The rear entrance accesses the building on the ground floor.
    The Geography Building link accesses the building on the second floor.

Getting Around

  • There are five clearly marked 18cm steps with handrails on either side to access the 1.14 Mason Lecture Theatre on the first floor. These steps can be bypassed by a stair lift.
  • The majority of circulation routes are carpeted some of which have patterned carpets.
  • There are resting areas in some circulation and lobby area with a mixture of seating.
  • There is clear directional wayfinding signage throughout the building.
  • There are manual doors along the corridors of the building.

    • There are 3 toilets with adaptations.
    • Toilets with adaptations are located on the ground, second and fourth floors.
    • All toilets with adaptations have a right hand transfer space.
    • The female step-free toilet facilities are located on all floors.

    • The shared toilet facilities are located on the ground floor.
