On-street Parking
View
- On-street designated Blue Badge parking and standard parking is available.
- The on-street designated Blue Badge parking bays are located John Harrison Way.
- The Blue Badge bays are clearly marked and signposted.
- There is a strip of two on-street Blue Badge parking bays located at the end of John Harrison Way. There are not any hatched zones. Parking for Blue Badge holders here is free of charge and without any maximum stay. There is step-free access (via very easy slopes and some uneven cobbled surfaces) from these bays to the Ecology Park main entrance. The entrance is approximately 150m from the bays. There is limited standard on-street parking located in strips along John Harrison Way and Peartree Way. Parking here is free of charge, but limited to 2 hours between 09:00 and 18:30, with no return within 3 hours.
Entrance (Main Entrance)
- This entrance is located to the right as you face the reception desk from outside the gatehouse building.
- The approach to the entrance has uneven surfaces.
- The entrance area is clearly signed.
- There is a canopy or recess which provides weather protection at the entrance.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance.
- The ramp has a steep gradient.
- The ramp is over 150cm wide with no handrails.
- There are double manual doors at this entrance, however one door is locked or bolted.
- The locked door can be opened on request.
- The doors open towards you.
- The width of the opening is 73cm.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the opening.
- The doors have a low visual contrast.
- There is step-free level access as you enter.
Reception (Main Reception)
- The reception is located outside the gatehouse building, in the porch area outside the main entrance doors.
- The distance from the main entrance is 3m.
- There is step-free access via ramp to reception.
- The ramp has a steep gradient.
- The ramp is over 150cm wide with no handrails.
- The height of the reception desk is 101cm.
- There is not a lowered section at the desk.
- The reception has glazed screens.
