Overview

Getting Inside

  • The approach the building is step-free via slight slopes.
  • Langsett Building has four main entrances, all of the entrances are all accessible. Two have step-free level access, and the two on Howard Street have a step-free slight sloped access.
  • All entrances are signed with name of the building.
  • The main entrance provides direct access to the entrance lobby, seating area and café on the Level UG. This entrance is key card activated.
  • The two Howard Street entrances provide access to the Level LG where a platform lift is available to reach Level UG. These entrances are key card activated.
    The entrance on Paternoster Row provides access to the Level LG and is key card activated, it has an alternative revolving door, with a slow down button. The height of the slow down button is 106cm.
  • To the front of the building, on the west side, there are steps on the approach. These are avoided by using the slight sloped access to the side to the side of steps.

Getting Around

  • There is step-free level access throughout the building on all floors.
  • Access to Level UG from the Howard Street entrances is via a platform lift. .
  • Floor surface along all circulation routes are hard and smooth. .
  • There are resting areas in some circulation and lobby areas with a mixture of seating.
  • Overhead and wall mounted wayfinding signage is provided throughout the building. .
  • There are manual doors in some circulation corridors and stair and lift lobbies. .

Entrance (Main)
