Overview

Getting Inside

  • The approach to the building is step-free via slight slopes.
  • There is step-free approach to the building from Arundel Street.
  • Redmires Building has two entrances which provide step-free level access to Level 00.
    There are key card activated, single automatic doors available at both the main and rear entrances.

Getting Around

Parking

  • Car Park View
    • There are 6 designated Blue Badge parking bays available.
    • The 6 Blue Badge bays are on Hallam Green.
    • 2 are adjacent to Redmires, and 4 are between Redmires and The Hubs
    • The Blue Badge bays require a permit.
  • Drop-off Point View
    • There is a designated drop-off point available.
    • The designated drop-off point is located on Charles Street.
  • Public Car Parks View
    • There is a public car park located on Charles Street.
    • The name of the car park is Q-Park.
    • Designated Blue Badge parking bays are available in the car park.
    • Parking is also available in The APCOA car park at The Moor - Sheffield.
    • University students and visitors are eligible for a discounted parking rate at The Moor by scanning in a blue coin/chip, obtainable from the university.
    • Please validate the blue coin/chip in either Owen Level 5, Charles Street, or Cantor Helpdesks at City Campus to claim the discount.
    • Please note that if you pre-book a parking space, you will not be able to access the discounted parking rate.

Entrance (Main)

Lift

  • The lift surveyed is located to the right hand side and towards the rear of the entrance foyer.
  • The distance from the main entrance is 33m.
  • The most accessible route to the lift has step-free level access.
  • Levels LG, UG, 1, 2, 3 and 4 are accessed by this lift.
  • The lift door has a high visual contrast.
  • The lift has a level manoeuvring space in front of it for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
