Access Guide
Access To
- Room G.22 is located on the ground floor, in the corridor to the left of the stairs as you enter via the 19 George Square entrance.
- View information on George Square 16-20 (opens new tab) .
- The most accessible route has steps, manual doors, shiny flooring and patterned flooring.
- There is numbered signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access to enter room G.22.
- There is a single manual door which opens towards you.
- The width of the opening is 84cm.
- The door has a low visual contrast.
- There is also an entrance from 20 George Square with a door that opens away from you, has a poor colour contrast and is 87cm wide.
This door would only be used for access to the fire escape.
Teaching
- This is a teaching room.
- There is step-free level access throughout the room.
- Furniture can be moved to enable a manoeuvring space for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- The flooring is patterned.
- Floor coverings are even with no trip hazards.
- The walls and floor have a high visual contrast.
- Lighting levels were even at the time of the survey.
- Lighting levels are adjustable.
- There are no designated spaces for wheelchair users.
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
- Seating available in the room includes: chairs without armrests and lecture chairs.
- The height of the speaker's desk/table is 90cm.
- The speaker's desk/table is not height adjustable.
