Access To
- The library is located opposite the lifts on the first floor of ECA Evolution House.

- The most accessible route has step-free level access and a lift.
- The is a similar entrance on the ground floor. This entrance is only opened upon request.
- There is written text signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access into the Library.
- There is a single manual door which opens towards you.
- The door has a locked extension leaf.
- The width of the opening is 88cm.
- The door has a high visual contrast.
- There are barriers beyond the entrance with a width of 112cm.
Reception
- The reception is located to your right on entrance.
- The distance from the library entrance is 10m.
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- The height of the reception desk is 78cm.
- There is a clearly signed fixed hearing assistance system.
- The hearing assistance system could not be tested at the time of the survey.
- A section of the reception desk is height adjustable.
- There is no (or very little) background noise in this area.

Library
- There is step-free level access throughout the library.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest in the seating area.

- Seating available in the library includes: chairs with armrests, chairs without armrests and stools.
- Furniture available in the library includes: tables, coffee tables, height adjustable tables and desks.
- Some tables are fixed.
- Some surface heights are suitable for wheelchair users.
- The clear underside space of some surfaces is suitable for wheelchair users.

- There is not a hearing assistance system.

Stairs
- The stairs surveyed are located to the left of the library on the first floor.
- The ground and first floors can be accessed by these stairs.
- There are 20 steps between floors.
- The steps are clearly marked and have handrails on both sides.
- The handrails are not easy to grip.
- The handrails cover the flight of stairs throughout its length.
- The handrail extends horizontally beyond the first and last step.
- The height of the steps is not between 15cm and 18cm.
- The height of the highest step is 19cm.
- The depth of the steps is not between 30cm and 45cm.
