Access To
- The Pods are located on the ground floor (floor 0) of the ECCI (Old High School) - Edinburgh Climate Change Institute building.

- The most accessible route has step-free level access and shiny flooring.
- There is written text signage on or near the entrance.
- There is stepped access into the Pods.
- There is 1 step with no handrails.
- The step is unmarked.
- The height of the step is not between 15cm and 18cm.
- The height of the highest step is 2cm.
- There is a single manual door which opens both ways.
- The width of the opening is 72cm.
- The door has a low visual contrast.
- The information above relates to the Reception Pod and the Atrium Pod (Double).
The Atrium Pod (Single) door width is 86cm with a 2cm step into the Pod.
Teaching
- This is a meeting room.
- There is step-free level access throughout the room.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- Floor coverings are even with no trip hazards.
- The walls and floor have a low visual contrast.
- Lighting levels were uneven at the time of the survey, with pools of light and shade.
