Overview

Getting Inside

  • The approach to the building is step-free level, although some sections of the pavements on Drummond Street and Roxburgh Street have uneven surfaces.
  • 1-7 Roxburgh Street has 3 entrances.
    All 3 entrances provide stepped access to the ground floor, with the Drummond Street entrance having a slight ramp as well.
    There are single, manual doors available at all 3 entrances.

  • There is no internal access on the ground floor between the portions of the building in 5 Roxburgh Street and 7 Roxburgh Street.
    You must either leave and re-enter through the entrances or take the stairs up to the first floor or down to the basement floor for internal access.

Getting Around

    There are two clearly marked steps, with a maximum height of 15cm and no handrails, to access the standard female toilets from the corridor outside the standard male toilets and stairs (by Drummond Street entrance).
    There are two clearly marked steps, with a maximum height of 13cm and no handrails, leading down into the standard male toilets immediately after the door.
  • On the ground floor, there are two clearly marked steps, with a maximum height of 13cm, to access room G.1 from the stairs (by Drummond Street entrance). These steps do not have any handrails.

    Immediately beyond this step, and leading to the same areas, there is a steep ramp with a width of 157cm and no handrails.
    There is a steep ramp, 96cm wide and with no handrails, to access rooms 1.8, 1.9, the standard female toilet and the stairs (by SRA entrance - 5 Roxburgh Street) from rooms 1.1 - 1.7.
    There is a steep ramp, 107cm wide and with no handrails, to access rooms 1.8, 1.9, the standard female toilet and the stairs (by SRA entrance - 5 Roxburgh Street) from rooms 1.10, 1.11, the standard male toilets and the stairs (by School of Divinity entrance - 7 Roxburgh Street).
    On the second floor, there is a single clearly marked step, 21cm high and with no handrails, to access rooms 2.1 - 2.7 and the standard male and female toilet from the stairs (by SRA entrance - 5 Roxburgh Street and by School of Divinity entrance - 7 Roxburgh Street), as well as rooms 2.8 - 2.12.
