- Holland Microlab is a small building with 2 floors, forming part of Holland House in the South Hall Complex.
- There is 1 staircase in the building, used to access one quiet study room only (the building is mainly on one level and does not have a lift).
- The floors are not officially signed or named, but are generally known as the ground floor and the first floor.
- The building in which the Holland Microlab is situated is connected to the South Hall Complex, and the toilet facilities in this guide are used as the main toilet facilities for South Hall when an event is taking place there.

Getting Inside
- The approach to the building is step free via slight and steep ramps and slopes through the Pollock Halls site.
- The Holland Microlab building has one entrance, located at the front of the building, leading in from the courtyard.
The entrance provides step-free access to the ground floor via a steep ramp. There is a single manual door at this entrance. - The entrance is signed as "Holland Microlab" on the approach, and then "Holland House: Micro-Lab" above the door.

Getting Around
- There is step-free level access throughout the ground floor and first floor of the building; however access to the first floor, which contains one quiet study room only, is via stairs only.
- Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are shiny, with a smooth vinyl finish.
- There is a resting area in the entrance foyer, to the right as you enter the building through the Holland Microlab Building entrance, in addition to seating within the Microlab and quiet study rooms.
- Some wall-mounted wayfinding signage is provided within the building; however this is of a temporary nature.
- There are not manual doors along any circulation corridors within this building.
- This building is connected to the South Hall Complex, and its toilet facilities are used when events take place in South Hall.

- This car park is for visitors, Blue Badge holders and permit holders only.
- Parking is free for all users.
- Clearly presented parking signs are not available.

- Parking is for staff and student permit holders, Blue Badge holders, and visitors only. During arrival periods, visitor parking is for quick drop-off only.
Resident students are not generally permitted to park here. Resident parking permits are only issued to disabled students with Blue Badges, or in exceptional circumstances. If intending to park here while resident in the halls, student Blue Badge holders must apply for a permit via following the links onhttps://transport.ed.ac.uk/travelling-here/pollock.
