Overview

Getting Inside

  • The approach to the building is step-free via slight slopes.
  • Ashworth Extension New Wing (Ashworth 3) has two entrances, one entrance provides step-free access via a slight ramp.
  • The main entrance on Colin Maclaurin Road is signed as Ashworth 3, no other entrances are signed.
  • The main entrance gives direct access to the lift on the ground floor, which provides step-free level access to the basement and floors 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
  • The rear entrance has a slight slope and manual doors to enter.

Getting Around

  • It is possible to bypass all steps once inside the building.
  • There is step-free, level access from the Ashworth Extension (Ashworth 2) building on the ground, first, second, third and fourth floors via the link corridors.
  • Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard and smooth, with some having a shiny finish.
  • There are some resting areas in some circulation and lobby areas with a mixture of seating.
