- G11M Chemical Engineering Laboratory is accessed off the ground floor of the Sanderson Building.

- The most accessible route has steps and manual doors.
- There is written text signage on or near the entrance.
- There is stepped access into G11M Chemical Engineering Laboratory.
- There are 10 steps with a handrail on the left going up.
- The handrail is not easy to grip.
- The handrail covers the flight of stairs throughout its length.
- The handrail does not extend horizontally beyond the first and last step.
- The step markings are not clearly visible.
- The height of the step is between 15cm and 18cm.
- The height of the highest step is 18cm.
- The depth of the steps is not between 30cm and 45cm.
- There is a single manual door which opens towards you.
- The width of the opening is 95cm.
- The door has a low visual contrast.
- There is an alternative entrance into this room located next to rooms G.15M and G.15AM.
