- The Hudson Beare Building is a small building with two floors.
- There are no lifts and one staircase within the building.
- The floors are named Basement and Ground Floor.
The basement is also signed Engineering Maker Space. - There is internal step-free level access between the Faraday Building and the Hudson Beare Building via the Faraday Building entrance lobby.

Getting Inside
- The approach to the building via the Faraday Building main entrance is step-free via a slight ramp from the Colin Maclaurin Road Car Park.
- The Hudson Beare Building has two entrances and a link entrance from the Sanderson Building.
The Hudson Beare Building main entrance provides step-free level access (accessible entrance). - The entrances are not individually signed.
Each entrance is signed with the building name. - The main entrance gives direct access to the Ground Floor, with step-free level access to the majority of the building.
There is stepped access only to the Basement from the Ground Floor. - The rear entrance has stepped access with manual doors.
The link entrance from the Sanderson Building is step-free with a slight ramp and manual doors. - There is additional access to the main entrance from the Faraday Building secondary entrance to the Faraday entrance lobby, which is step-free with a slight ramp and manual door.
Getting Around
- There is step-free access throughout the Ground Floor of the building.
- There is stepped access only to the Basement from the Ground Floor.
There is internal access to the Basement via a staircase at the rear of the building and café. - Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard and smooth, with some having a shiny and/or patterned finish.
- There are no resting areas in circulation or lobby areas.
There is seating in the café with a mixture of seating. - There are no wayfinding signage or floor plans to assist people in finding their way around.
- There are manual doors in some corridors to access the toilet facilities and lecture theatre.
