Access To

The Climbing Wall area is located on the ground floor of the Pleasance Sports Complex & Gym, at the rear left of the main ground floor corridor which is ahead and to the left as you enter through the security barriers.

The most accessible route has step-free level access, manual doors and shiny flooring.
There is written text signage on or near the entrance.
There is step-free level access to enter the Climbing Wall area.
There is a single manual door which is permanently held open.
The width of the opening is 111cm.
The door has a high visual contrast.

The lift surveyed is located to the left as you enter the Climbing Wall area.
This lift is a platform lift.

The most accessible route to the lift has step-free level access.

There are three clearly marked steps in front of the entrance that have a handrail on the right-hand side going up.
These steps can be avoided by using the platform lift to the left.
The opening for the Main Climbing Wall area has a width of 153cm.
Inside the lighting levels are even but with glare. The lighting levels are not adjustable.
The flooring is soft matting and not hard or even throughout.
There are multiple climbing walls of varying difficulty available.
There are additional climbing walls available on the first floor of the Pleasance Sports Complex.
