Access To
- The Library Lounge is located on the ground floor at the rear of the University of Manchester Main Library.

- The counter is located to the right from the entrance into the library Lounge.
- The most accessible route has step-free level access.
- This area has a counter where food and drink can be ordered.
- Full table service is not available.
- Menus are wall-mounted and digital.
- The following dietary requirements can be catered for: gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, nut allergy, vegetarian and vegan.
- The following are available: drinking straws, takeaway cups and takeaway cutlery.
- There is not a hearing assistance system.

- The counter is located ahead as you enter the Library Lounge.
- There is step-free level access to the counter.
- The height of the counter is 90cm.
- There is not a lowered section at the counter.
- The counter has patterned/distracting backgrounds which may affect the ability of someone to lip read.

- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).

- The walls and floor visual contrast varies between low and high.
- Seating available in this area includes: chairs with armrests, chairs without armrests, armchairs, sofas, benches and high stools.
- Furniture available in this area includes: tables, coffee tables and high tables.
- Some tables are fixed.
- The surface height of some of the tables is suitable for wheelchair users.
- The clear height under some of the tables is suitable for wheelchair users.
- There is no (or very little) background noise in this area.
- Lighting levels were uneven at the time of the survey, with pools of light and shade.
