Access To
- The Multi-Faith Prayer Room is located in Core 1 on the ground floor of the Nancy Rothwell Building.

- The most accessible route has step-free level access.
- There is written text signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access into the Multi-Faith Prayer Room.
- There is a single manual door which opens away from you.
- The width of the opening is 86cm.
- The door has a high visual contrast.
Room
- There is step-free level access throughout the room.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
- Some flooring is shiny.
- The walls and floor have a medium visual contrast.
- Furniture available in the room includes: tables.
- The surface heights are not suitable for wheelchair users.
- The clear underside space of the surfaces is not suitable for wheelchair users.
- There is no (or very little) background noise in this room.
- Lighting levels were even at the time of the survey.
- There are prayer mats on the floor of the room, the rest of the floor is reflective and may appear shiny.
There are two separate prayer areas divided by a partition wall.
There is a single table with a height of 66cm.
Washing Facilities
- There are two washing facilities in the prayer room; one larger and one smaller.
- Washing facilities are located to your right on entering the room.
- There is a manual door, 86cm wide, that opens towards you with high colour contrast to access the washing facilities.
- There is even lighting in the facilities.
- There are drop down rails and grab rails in the facilities.
- There are 20cm steps to access the facilities and washing facility seats.
