Accommodation Overview

View
- St Anselm Hall is located on Victoria Park Campus, off Kent Road East.
- St Anselm Hall is made up of Dewar, Manor, Schuster, Summerfield and The Lodge.
- Dewar, Manor, Schuster and Summerfield are housed in the main building.
The Lodge is a separate building on the rear right of the main building. - Dewar, Manor and Summerfield have 3 floors, and Schuster and The Lodge have 2 floors.
- St Anselm Hall is made up of around 126 rooms.
- There are no rooms with adaptations at St Anselm Hall.
- Standard accommodation has ensuites with baths, shared bathrooms with baths and shared bathrooms with stepped shower cubicles.
- Kitchen facilities are located on all floors of each accommodation block.
The Lodge has kitchen and dining facilities on the ground floor.
There are laundry facilities in Dewar A.
There is a dining hall, common room and library on the ground floor of the main building in Schuster A.
There is a TV room in the basement.
Behind St Anselm Hall there is a chapel and squash courts.

Getting Inside
- The approach to the building is step-free via slight slopes.
- There is 1 entrance at the front of the main building and 1 at the rear in the courtyard, and 2 entrances to The Lodge.
All entrances are stepped with manual doors. - The entrances are not signed.
- The main entrance provides access to Dewar A, Manor A and Summerfield A.
- There is a 98cm gateway from Kent Road East to the main entrance.
- There is internal access between Dewar, Manor and Summerfield blocks on all floors.
Getting Around
- There is step-free level access on Dewar A, Manor A and Summerfield A.
- There are 4 marked steps with a handrail on the left going up to access Schuster A leading to the common room and dining hall.
There are 2 marked steps with no handrails to access the corridor leading to the common room.
There are 5 steps with handrails both sides to access the library.
There are 2 steps on Schuster B to access rooms D8 and D9.
There is a small step in the bathroom in Schuster B.
There is a slight slope to access the rear right stairs in Schuster. - Floor surfaces along circulation routes are hard and smooth or carpeted and smooth.
There are some floor surfaces which are patterned or have a shiny finish. - Limited wayfinding signage is provided on all levels.
- There are manual doors along circulation routes throughout the building.

- There are steps and a ramp on the access between St Anselm Hall and the Chapel. At the time of the survey (31/07/24) this access was out of use due to building works.
Chapel
- The Chapel is located at the rear of St Anselm Hall.
- There is step-free level access to the majority of the Chapel.
- There is a step to access the altar at the front and to the seating area at the rear.
- The seating is bench seating.
- The flooring is hard and smooth with a shiny finish.
- The lighting levels are low with glare and not adjustable.
- The contrast between the floor and walls is high.
Library
- The Library is located in Schuster A at the rear.
- There is a single manual door 75cm wide which opens inwards
- The internal and external door contrast is high.
- The floor surface is carpet and smooth.

- The seating is chairs with and without armrests and sofas.
- There are tables and coffee tables available.
