About
View
- University Place is a large sized building with two blocks, one of which has four floors and one has six floors.
- There are six main lifts and two main staircases within the building.
- The floors are signed as 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Getting Inside
- The approach to the building is step-free and level.
- University Place has four entrances. All four entrances provide step-free level access to the ground floor.
Three are push pad activated, single automatic doors (the alternative being manual revolving doors). One is a manual gate and double automatic doors. It can also be accessed via The Place which has its own single manual door entrance which is permanently held open. - The accessible entrance is not named (signed as University Place). It is accessed coming from the direction of Brunswick Park.
The other three entrances are also signed University Place.
The Place entrance is named and signed The Place. - The accessible entrance provides step-free level access to the reception lobby area on the Ground Floor.
Getting Around
- There is step-free level access throughout the building on all floors.
- Access to Rooms Lecture Theatre B is via a slight ramp on Floor 2.
- Floor surfaces along all circulation corridors are hard and smooth, with some having a shiny finish.
- There are resting areas in some circulation and lobby areas with a mixture of seating.
- Wall mounted wayfinding signage is provided throughout the building.
- There are not any manual doors in circulation corridors, only for access to the Block 2 stairwell.

- There are 8 toilets with adaptations.
- Toilets with adaptations are located on all floors (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6).
- The transfer space varies between left and right in the toilets with adaptations.
- Ambulant toilet facilities are located in standard toilets on all floors.
- The male and female toilet facilities are located on all floors (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6)..
- The gender inclusive toilet facilities are located on floor 2 within the toilet with adaptations for the use of everyone.

- All of the external lift controls are at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
