Access Guide
Getting to the Room (2179)
- The average walking time to the room is 6 minutes.
- Exit the reception lobby via the doors to the lobby bar terrace. Turn left and proceed up the ramp.
At the top of the ramp, continue straight ahead until you reach accommodation building number 2, on the left.
Proceed up the slight slope into the building via the double doors (which are always held open). Once inside, head along the room corridor and the door to room number 2179 is on the left. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a slight ramp/slope, slight ramps/slopes, steep ramps/slopes, automatic doors and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (2179)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are more than 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 76cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 57cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 23cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (2179 - Right Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 85cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 90cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a flip-down seat in the shower.
