Access Guide
Getting to the Room (2100)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Take one of the lifts opposite the reception desk to the 2nd floor. On exiting the lift, turn right then right again and proceed through the fire doors.
Continue along the room corridor and the door to room 2100 is on the right hand side. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a standard lift and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Room (2100)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 89cm wide.
- The bed type is double and made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 50cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 6cm high.
- Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (2100)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 90cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail for the toilet.

- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.

- The space under the bed is 6cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 59cm.
Ensuite (2217)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 68cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower cubicle.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is no dropdown rail.
