Getting to the Room (1032)

  • The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
  • Take a right from the reception desk and follow the reception lobby to the lifts.
    Take a lift to level 1. Exit the lift and turn right.
    Proceed through the fire doors (which are 125cm wide and permanently held open) and straight into the room corridor.
    The door to room 1032 is on the left.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a standard lift and doors permanently held open.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
  • The width of the lift door opening is 98cm.
  • The internal dimensions for the lift are 100cm x 210cm.
  • The flooring on the route is not shiny or patterned.

Room (1032)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 6 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 83cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
  • The top of the mattress is 50cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 6cm high.
  • Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
  • The room does have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The width of the balcony door is 87cm.
    The space to the left of the bed is 90cm and the space to the right is 200cm.

Ensuite (1032 - Right Hand Transfer)

  • The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 83cm.
  • There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 104cm.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a vertical grab rail on the non transfer side.
  • There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
