Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Within the Standard Toilets - Right Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a medium colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 98cm.
- The toilet door has a sliding bolt lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 147cm x 165cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it.
- The lateral transfer space is 87cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the toilet include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side.
- Fixtures within the toilet include: a toilet roll holder and an emergency alarm.
- There is no shelf in the toilet.
- There are no coat hooks.
- The toilet with adaptations for disabled people is the end cubicle within the standard toilets. The wash basin, pedal bin, soap dispenser, mirrors and baby changing table are outside of the cubicle.
The doorway into the toilets is 84cm wide.
