Getting to the Room
- The average walking time to the room is 3 minutes.
- From reception walk past the buffet restaurant through permanently open double doors. Continue to the end of the corridor where room 002 is located on the left.,.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (002)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 3 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 85cm wide.
- The bed type is twin.
- The top of the mattress is 58cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 6cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The terrace door width is 110cm.
Ensuite (Room 002)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 78cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the on both sides of the toilet with a minimum width of 90cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
- There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- The shower seat has a height of 55cm.
