Getting to the Room (401)

The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
Take the steep ramp opposite the main reception desk.
At the top of the ramp turn left and proceed through the manual doors and open doorway, then turn right.
Continue up the second steep ramp directly into the room corridor. The door to room 401 is the first door on the left.
The most accessible route to the room has steep ramps/slopes, an open entrance with no doors and a manual door.
The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
There are buggies available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope.
The buggies can be transferred into from a wheelchair.

There is step-free level access into the room.
The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
The room door opening is 84cm wide.
The bed type is double.
The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
The space under the bed is 31cm high.
There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
The room does not have an emergency alarm.
There is hard flooring.
The space to the left of the bed is 250cm.
The width of the balcony door is 200cm. There are two small lips to access the balcony (2cm and 4cm high).

The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 96cm.
There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
There is hard flooring.
The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower cubicle.
There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
There is no dropdown rail.
Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail at the bath.
There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
The gap between the shower cubicle and the wall to access to toilet is 65cm wide.
The shower door is 65cm wide. There is a 4cm lip to access the shower cubicle.
