Access Guide
Getting to the Room (503)
- The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
- From the reception lobby, take a lift to the 4th floor. On exiting the lift, turn left into the room corridor and continue ahead.
Take a left and room 503 is on the right. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and a standard lift.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- The width of the lift door opening is 70cm.
- The internal dimensions for the lift are 89cm x 160cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Room (503)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are more than 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 79cm wide.
- The bed type is single and double.
- The top of the mattress is 59cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 8cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The balcony door width is 130cm.
Ensuite (Room 503 - Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 69cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower cubicle.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 70cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
