Getting to the Room (214)

  • The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
  • Take one of the lifts from the reception lobby to the first floor.
    On exiting the lift, take a left into the room corridor. At the end of the corridor, take a right and the door to room 214 is on the right just before the fire doors.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a standard lift and an open entrance with no doors.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
  • The width of the lift door opening is 80cm.
  • The internal dimensions for the lift are 135cm x 140cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.

Room (214)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 5 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 84cm wide.
  • The bed type is double.
  • The top of the mattress is 61cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 5cm high.
  • Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
  • The room does have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The width of the balcony door is 88cm.

Ensuite (214 - Left Hand Transfer)

  • The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 92cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 74cm .
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
  • There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is a bench seat in the ensuite shower.
