Getting to the Room (129)

  • The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
  • From reception, head past the desk to the right, continue straight through the two sets set of double doors in front of you.
    Turn left into the corridor. The door to room 129 is straight ahead at the far end of the corridor.
  • The most accessible route to the room has manual doors and step-free level access.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.

Room (129)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 80cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
  • The top of the mattress is 52cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 8cm high.
  • Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
  • The room does not have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.

Ensuite (129)

  • The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 89cm.
  • There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a wash basin, a standard bath and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as the bath obstructs it.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and a towel dispenser.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the non transfer side.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a vertical rail on the right side of the wash basin, a vertical grab rail on the non transfer side and a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
  • There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
