Getting to the Room (151)
- The average walking time to the room is 3 minutes.
- From reception, take a lift to level 1. From the lift turn right and cross the landing. Veer left and proceed along the room corridor.
Continue through the fire doors (which are 130cm wide and permanently open) and along the room corridor, until you reach the door to room 151 on the left. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a standard lift and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- The width of the lift door opening is 87cm.
- The internal dimensions for the lift are 92cm x 110cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
- There are buggies available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope and steps.
- The buggies can be transferred into from a wheelchair.
- The width of the corridors is 155cm.
Room (151)
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 80cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 55cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 10cm high.
- Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 99cm.
The space to the left of the bed is 80cm. The space to the right of the bed is 270cm.
Ensuite (151)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 77cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin, a standard bath and a shower without a step.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a diagonal grab rail at the bath.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
