Access Guide
Getting to the Room (1230)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Take one of the lifts to the right of the reception desk to level 1. On exiting the lift, turn right and proceed straight into the room corridor. Room 1230 is on the right hand side.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and a standard lift.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- The width of the lift door opening is 90cm.
- The internal dimensions for the lift are 170cm x 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Room (1230)
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 84cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 9cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 134cm.
Ensuite (1230)
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower cubicle.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and an emergency alarm.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There is an open doorway into the bathroom which measures 80cm.
